We are pleased to announce the second edition of the Latin American Natural Product Genome Mining Workshop taking place in Guanajuato from 19th to 24th of August, 2024 with most of the course taking place on the CIMAT installations. This workshop aims to engage with early career researchers across Latin America interested in natural products, their regulation and biosynthesis in an ecological context. The workshop will consist of a series of seminars by different international speakers as well as a practical workshop in which participants will be able to familiarize themselves with current genome mining bioinformatic tools. The workshop will also provide an opportunity to identify and discuss natural product and genome mining challenges and opportunities specific to Latin America in a friendly environment. The workshop will be delivered mainly in English, although some seminars and parts of the practical workshop will be delivered in Spanish.
